Prof. Dr. Werner Süss is a co-founder of NeXtWind, as well as managing partner of NeXtWind Management GmbH and a member of the board of NeXtWind Capital Ltd.

In addition, he has been an honorary professor of corporate communications at the University of Leipzig since October 2010. Prior to that, he had been a lecturer at the institute since 2002. He studied law at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, began his doctoral studies in 1991, and worked as a research assistant at the university’s Department of Legal History and Civil Law.

Süss has worked in the energy industry since 1992, initially as head of the CEO’s office and, starting in 1998, also as head of public relations at Bayernwerk AG (VIAG Group) and head of corporate communications at E.ON. From 2002 to 2012, he served as managing director and later as chairman of the management board of Vattenfall Europe Sales, as well as head of the Sales Business Unit at Vattenfall Central Europe.
